Social responsibility, community engagement, and cultural impact through sport

Throughout my career I've worked at the intersection of policy, communications, and stakeholder engagement — helping organizations navigate complex environments, shape public narratives, and build trusted partnerships. Sports and entertainment now operate within that same landscape, influencing culture, international relationships, and global audiences at an unprecedented scale.
This is a natural evolution of my work. I'm bringing experience in strategic communications, public affairs, and policy navigation to organizations shaping the future of sport, media, and cultural connection.

Many of the challenges facing sports and entertainment organizations today are ones I've navigated throughout my career — managing reputational risk, building relationships across political and cultural divides, and helping organizations find their footing in environments that are constantly shifting.
My experience across government, consulting, and policy gives me a lens that I think is genuinely useful in this space. I understand how decisions get made at the institutional level, how public sentiment and policy intersect, and how to help organizations stay ahead of changes rather than react to them.

We're living through a moment where hosting rights have become diplomatic leverage, where athletes are speaking to global conflicts, and where leagues are navigating expansion into markets with deeply complex political landscapes. The relationship between sport, entertainment, and geopolitics has never been more visible — or more consequential.
Pursuing a Master's in International Public Policy at Johns Hopkins SAIS as a Public Service Fellow is giving me the foundation to engage with those dynamics seriously. The program is expanding my understanding of international institutions, foreign policy, and geopolitical risk in ways that connect directly to how sports and entertainment organizations make decisions — where they expand, how they structure global partnerships, and how they navigate the cultural and political forces that increasingly define their impact.
It's an extension of the work I've been doing across policy, communications, and stakeholder engagement — and an investment in being able to bring real depth to the conversations that matter most in this space right now.

Where My Interest in Sports and Entertainment Began
Long before my career in communications, policy, and global affairs, teams were an important part of my life — on the court, field, stage, and screen. Growing up, they were where I first saw the power of collaboration, community, and shared experience. That connection carried into my own pursuits in high school athletics and the performing arts, as well as time tutoring student athletes at the University of Minnesota.
Those early moments shaped the way I think about leadership, connection, and cultural impact today. This chapter brings both together — a lifelong connection to sport and entertainment, and the professional experience to help organizations navigate the global landscape surrounding it.
Let’s Build What’s Next in Sports & Global Culture
I'm excited to contribute to organizations shaping the future of sports, media, and cultural connection — particularly where policy, geopolitics, and social impact intersect. Whether that's through advisory work, consulting, speaking, or a full-time role, I'd love to connect.
